Brand of the Week: Prose
I am a big fan of Prose. How they are able to custom-make and formulate every single product at their scale is quite incredible. Prose initially started with their innovative custom hair care products and got to meaningful scale before venturing into new verticals — custom skincare is the latest.
Their D2C experience is top-tier as well. It’s one of the few ecom sites out there that takes personalization to its lengths. if you’ve ever bought from Prose, you’ll know what i mean.
Every touchpoint they have with you feels custom, personalized and as if you had a personal assistant shopping for you in a beautiful salon.

Tool of the Week: Numeral for Taxes
Numeral is an awesome time-saving tool for D2C brands that solves their sales tax burden. It’s not a secret that managing sales taxes can be a huge pain for brands.
Numeral’s platform offers a white glove sales tax service that handles everything related to sales taxes, compliance and more.
The tool claims to let you spend less than 5 minutes/month on sales tax compliance. Some of the top brands in the 1-800-D2C directory leverage Numeral — Aura Bora, Graza, Crossnet and more. I also personally use Numeral at Rejuvia and it certainly has saved us countless hours with sales tax and helped us dedicate that precious time elsewhere.

I thought this was a fantastic blurb this week from Nate Lagos, the Head of Marketing at Original Grain.
How early you start your BFCM sale is always the hotly debated question of the quarter each year and Nate gives us a great take on why they’re starting on November 1st.
They have data showing that customers acquired in the period have much higher LTVs, their site CVRs always jump and the more time they give their sale to run on acquisition, the more opportunity you give yourself on Meta to scale.
